Salisbury Steak
Another Blue Plate Special: Salisbury Steak with mashed potatoes and green beans.
6 Pieces of Cube Steak
2 Cups Seasoned Flour (seasoned with salt, peper, onion powder, and garlic powder)
4 Medium Onions sliced
2 lbs. Mushrooms (any kind, I used Baby Bella's)
2 Cans Beef Stock
In large skillet heat vegetable oil. Place seasoned flour in shallow bowl, dredge cube steak in flour and place in skillet. Brown cube steak on both sides about 4 minutes. Remove cube steak to oven proof container. Brown onions and mushrooms in skillet. Add remainder of seasoned flour to pan to make a roux. Cook flour a couple of minutes. Should be very thick. Add beef stock and stir. Once thicked to gravy consistency pour over cube steak. Cover pan and place in 300 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serves 6 Enjoy!!!
